According to this article from DirtFish, Global Rallycross will be going from being locked behind a pay wall to streaming free on YouTube. The FIA is taking over marketing and is focusing on expanding the reach of rallycross. This means making it readily available to more potential viewers.
This seems a great idea. We at Absolute Zero Motorsport love rally but it's admittedly not a particularly great spectator sport since fans get a blink-and-miss-it glimpse of the cars as they streak by once and that's it. Rallycross has circuits with cars running multiple laps, which is much better for viewing. Now we just need to expose more potential fans to rallycross, and making it freely available on YouTube will hopefully help.
