This will be a sad time for me. I've been a huge fan of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May for a long time now. I was a massive fan of Top Gear when they were the hosts, and subsequently The Grand Tour after the trio parted with Top Gear. My wife doesn't even care for cars or racing but still watched their shows because it was just jolly good fun.
Now we're approaching the release of a final farewell episode of The Grand Tour, with them finishing their journey with a trip through Zimbabwe because it's at the end of the alphabet. Their trip will end at the border with Botswana, where it all began.
I've seen this final episode and it's exactly as I expected. It was satisfying watching the trio on one last adventure but simultaneously sad knowing it's the last time, but it feels like a great big circle has been completed. I'll continue enjoying reruns of their shows but it's sad knowing there will be no new ones.
Thank you Jeremy, Richard, and James for twenty-two years of joy and godspeed on future endeavors.
